lsp-refresh-interval
Sets the maximum amount of time before generating a new instance of an LSP.
Syntax: lsp-refresh-interval seconds
seconds
Number of seconds to wait before generating a new LSP. Valid values are 1 - 65535.
Description: IS-IS generates LSPs when the state of a link changes. However, to ensure that routing databases on all routers remain converged, LSPs in stable networks are generated on a regular basis even though there has been no change to the state of the links.
Use the lsp-refresh-interval seconds command to set the number of seconds this router waits before generating new LSPs.
Use the no lsp-refresh-interval command to set the number of seconds this router waits before generating new LSPs to the default value of 900 seconds.
Factory Default: 900 seconds.
Command Mode: Router configuration.
Example: In the following example:
- The router isis command enables IS-IS on the router, specifies an IS-IS instance, and changes the command mode to Router configuration,
- The lsp-refresh-interval command sets number of seconds between generating new LSPs at 800,
- The show running-config isis command displays the setting:
router#configure terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z
router(config)#router isis npi
router(config-router)#lsp refresh-interval 800
router(config-router)#end
router#show run isis
!
