router isis
Enables/disables IS-IS protocol on the router, and changes the command mode to Router configuration.
[no] router is-is tag
tag
A unique string identifier.
Description: This command enables or disables IS-IS on the router and enters into the router configuration mode.
Currently, the Avici router supports only one instance of IS-IS. In the event that multiple instances are to be supported in a future release, this tag will distinguish the instances.
Use the router isis tag command to enable IS-IS on the router, specify an IS-IS instance, and change the command mode to Router configuration.
Use the no router isis tag to delete the specified instance of IS-IS.
Factory Default: IS-IS not configured.
Command Mode: Configuration.
Example: In the following example:
- The router isis command enables IS-IS on the router, specifies an IS-IS instance, and changes the command mode to Router configuration,
- The show isis command displays the setting:
router#configure terminal

router(config)#router isis npi
router(config-router)#end
router#show isis
