show ip ospf neighbor
Shows information about all neighbors.
Syntax: show ip ospf neighbor
Description: Show information about all neighbors.
Factory Default: None.
Command Mode: Executive and privileged.
Example: The following is sample output from the show ip ospf neighbor command:
router#show ip ospf neighbor
Area 0.0.0.0
Neighbor ID Pri State Dead Time Address Interface

The following table describes the fields in the display:

The area number as defined with the network area command.
Neighbor ID
The IP address of a neighbor.
Pri
The priority assigned to that neighbor with the ip ospf priority command.
State
The state of the router adjacency:
- Init - at least one hello packet has been received from the neighbor but the adjacency is not yet two-way
- 2Way - it is now known that the neighbor has heard from us and has included our router identifier in its hello. In some cases adjacencies will never progress beyond this state
- Exch Start - the two routers are going to synchronize. They are in the process of determining which router will be the Master and which the Slave
- Exchange - the two routers are describing the set of advertisements in their respective databases to each other
- Loading - the two routers now know what advertisements the other has that they want and are in the process of getting them
- Full - both routers have completed exchanging all their relevant advertisements
Dead Time
The number of seconds to wait for an advertisement before declaring this neighbor down. This value is defined with the ip ospf dead-interval command.
Address
IP address of the neighbor.
Interface
The name of the interface. This value is defined with the interface command.
